The Wellspring of Life
The Wellspring of Life (Written by Omri Yigal in memory of his beloved wife, Doris.) When a Filipina dies, the whole nation mourns; But as we lay one to rest, another is born. We close ranks, together, to console our bereaved; It is a trauma to all, when one of us grieves. My wife was an example, for all of us. She was a woman of valor and a treasure of trust. We celebrate her life, by examining her deeds Then changing our behavior and following her lead. I am absolutely distraught by the suddenness of life And the void in this world, with the loss of my wife. It took one thousand generations, to give birth toDorisYigal; And a thousand is lost, with a gunman's call. Now we turn our attention to raising our new births And teaching them about Doris, when she walked this earth. We lift up our newborns, as we lay her to rest In this still moment of transition, when we honor our best. L' Chaim!! (Hebrew for "to a life") Omri Yigal 15 April 09
